I welcome you to the Burgettstown Area School District website and to my Superintendent's pages. I hope you will use our website as a useful tool in keeping up with the many impressive things we have going on in the District. We take our educational mission very seriously: Building Ambitious Students Daily: Education for a Lifetime of Achievement. Please join us in this mission. It takes the entire community to accomplish the important work of educating all of our children.
Here is a little bit about my background. Before coming to Burgettstown, I was the Principal at Jefferson Middle School in the Mt. Lebanon School District, where I also served as a District-wide Curriculum Supervisor since 2008. Prior to my time in Mt. Lebanon, I served the Aliquippa School District as the Director of Curriculum and Student Achievement and as a Principal in the Hopewell School District both located in Beaver County. I began my professional career teaching English, television production and theater arts at Westlake High School in Maryland and locally at Peters Township High School. I have degrees from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland, and Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
From the first days of Kindergarten to the final graduation days of Burgettstown Middle/High School, our students encounter the finest teachers and support staff, remarkable administrators and an impressive Board of School Directors, working very hard to provide a quality education for every student. I am proud to be a part of the amazing people of the Burgettstown Area School District. I hope to see you soon, cheering on the students of Burgettstown.
