The 2018 STEAM Innovation Summer Institute Registration is now open!!!
Join us for the 2018 South Fayette STEAM Innovation Summer Institute June 18-21, 2018! Sponsored by the Grable Foundation, the STEAM Innovation Summer Institute provides professional development opportunities to assist districts in transforming education through innovation. The STEAM Innovation Summer Institute offers experiences for teachers, administrators, and youth education providers that become a springboard to a greater vision. In the past the institute has reached over 10,000 students in the region.
The STEAM Innovation Summer Institute is provided through the generous support of the Grable Foundation, for educators and education service providers. Sessions are limited in size, and selection is on a first-come first-served basis. The registration fee for educators from Southwestern Pennsylvania, which has been offset by the Grable Foundation, is $35 per day. Registration for educators in Southwestern Pennsylvania opens now, with opportunities for those outside of Southwestern Pennsylvania opening in the near future. Counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania include: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland, Green, Fayette, Lawrence, and Mercer.
This year, we are offering twenty-three courses with nine, entirely new offerings! Some of our new course offerings include: Visible Thinking, Cultural Competency, Low Tech STEAM, Digital Storytelling with Saturday Light Brigade, Creative Entrepreneurship, and Secondary Maker Education. Don’t forget about the classics. We will still be offering courses in Scratch, Python, Hummingbird Robotics, Elementary Maker Education and much more!
