    STUDENT ASSESSMENT

The district uses a number of assessments to evaluate student academic achievement and to inform instruction and monitor student progress. The results of these assessments provide educators and parents with a framework for remediation programs, tutorial groups, and classroom differentiated instruction. Several of the assessments are required as part of the monies received through federal and state grant programs.  Others, like the Advanced Placement Exams and SAT, provide the opportunity for students to earn college credit and prepare for post-secondary schools.

The district testing calendar, by month and date, is linked below. Please note significant dates for your student. Prior to assessments, we ask that parents and the community assist students by stressing the importance of study skills, rest, and motivation to succeed.
