My Personal Health and Physical Education Philosophy:
As a professional educator, I believe that it is important to teach in a way that reaches each and every student and which allows the students to develop in their own unique way. Every student develops and learns differently and it is important to not focus on one teaching strategy, but many strategies in order for every student to understand the information being taught. Information must be taught in ways that students will be able to retain the information and be shown ways to use the skills in the real world. I believe that it is very important to find a way to relate to your students in order to gain their trust and respect, which will ultimately lead to better grades. It is important to be proud of what you are and love what you are doing. It is my responsibility as a teacher to provide the next generation with the skills and knowledge that is necessary for a long, successful, happy life. My passion for lifelong health and physical fitness started when I was young and I am eager to teach the younger generations what I have learned over the course of my education career. With the growing health problems in the world today, I believe that health and physical education is a crucial parts of children’s curriculum in today’s society. I don’t necessary believe that people today don’t care about their health, but I believe that they do not have the knowledge that is needed to sustain a healthy lifestyle. As a professional educator in health and physical education, it is my job to reach these students with any means necessary.
