Welcome to Music at B.A.E.C!Teacher: Mrs. Heidi Betschart (Adomshick)"Music IS for a lifetime."Thought for the week: My summer season is typically spent with a music lesson program at school for approximately five weeks. It's different this year. It's quiet and I'm at home. I'm still making music for my own enjoyment and skill maintenance, but I'm working on plans for the upcoming school year. I'm reading and learning new things to bring to our music lessons, however they might look. I'm staying positive, most of all.Stay positive everyone, and stay musical! If you need to get in touch with me...I can be best reached via email at: HBetschart@burgettstown.k12.pa.usImportant Announcements/Events:
We're wrapping up the one-to-one Google Meet lessons for the school year. All SCHOOL-OWNED instruments need to have a cleaning. Please return them to BAEC at your earliest convenience. You will have the instrument back in your hands as soon as I'm done with it.
If you have a Volkwein's rental, by all means, play on!
Information about our Summer Lesson Program will be given to you all as soon as I'm given the "green light".

If your student in grades 4 or 5 is interested in playing an instrument but has NOT had a try-out, please have them schedule a try-out with me! Read below if your student is interested in enrolling for lessons.
For the parents...a brief summary of how our lesson program works...
There is minimal cost for a lesson book and supplies, depending on the instrument. Instrument rentals are handled through Volkwein’s Music in Robinson. Guitar, bass, ukulele, and piano instruments are best purchased through Guitar Center in Robinson or with my recommendations on Amazon.
What we teach in the BAEC instrumental music program:
Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone,
French Horn, Baritone/Euphonium, Percussion (snare, bass, set, mallets, accessories)

If you're interested in venturing out to see local performances, there are many happening throughout the year. I encourage you to take your students and explore some of our awesome music venues and events!
