    > Support Staff Vacancies  

    The District is accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician for the District beginning as soon as possible. This position requires a unique blend of maintenance and trade skills.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair most commercial systems and equipment in large school buildings including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, hardware, small engines and appliances.  Applicants must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings or manuals, must be able to use hand tools, power tools and equipment as well as possess a driver’s license.   Candidates must be willing and available for on-call assignments, emergencies, snow removal and other tasks as needed.   The successful candidate will be a self-starter and take initiative; be a skilled craftsman with experience and skills in a minimum of one (1) trade area (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and/or carpentry.)  To be considered for employment, interested applicants must submit a letter of interest, a resume detailing work experiences and training, as well as three (3) letters for references to Keith Mason, Director of Buildings and Grounds at kmason@burgettstown.k12.pa.us.   Salary and benefits according to the CBA.


    The District is seeking bus drivers to transport students to and from school in the Burgettstown Area School District.  Position available immediately. Will train qualified applicants. Drivers with a CDL with S endorsement desired. Must have clean driving record. Must be 21 years old.
    Must have Pennsylvania drivers license. $22.43/hour. 55% paid Healthcare.  Eligible for pension benefits.     NOTE: All substitute teachers are required by PA Act 48 of 2005 to have earned 180 continuing education credits every 5 years after certification.  Teachers without the required hours are only permitted to work 90 days as a substitute teacher.
