Mrs. Martello
    Hello, wonderful families!

I am Jacqueline Martello, and I am overjoyed to be your child's Speech-Language Pathologist this school year. Let me share a little bit about myself.

Background: I am passionate about education and creating a positive and engaging learning environment for all students. I hold a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and I have been teaching for 22 years. Along with being a Speech-Language Pathologist at Burgettstown, I am also the second grade CHAMPS representative and a member of our SAP team. My journey in education has been incredibly rewarding, and I am excited to continue fostering a love for learning in your child.

Teaching Philosophy: In our classroom, I believe in the power of curiosity and the importance of creating a supportive community. I strive to make learning a fun and collaborative experience, where each child feels valued, respected, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Interests: Outside of the classroom, I enjoy bowling with my family, playing with my dog, and watching my daughter play ice hockey and my son golf. I believe that bringing our interests into the classroom helps create a connection with students and fosters a positive and open learning environment.

Communication: I strongly believe in the partnership between home and school. Clear communication is key to your child's success. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or just to share the exciting moments in your child's life. I am here for you and your child every step of the way. I can be reached through email (JMartello@burgettstown.k12.pa.us), class Dojo, and by phone (724-947-8150 Ext 3121).

Classroom Environment: Our classroom is not just a place for learning; it's a community where every student is encouraged to explore, ask questions, and grow. I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming space where each child can thrive academically and socially.

Expectations: I have high expectations for our students, but I also believe in providing the necessary support to help them meet those expectations. Together, as a team, we can help your child achieve their goals and build a foundation for a lifetime of learning.

I am genuinely excited about the upcoming school year and the opportunity to get to know each student individually. Let's work together to make this a fantastic and memorable academic journey for your child.

Here's to a year filled with growth, learning, and lots of fun!

    Warm regards,

    Jacqueline Martello, M.S., SLP
