• Welcome to Kindergarten ~ About your teacher:

This will be my 26th year of teaching at Burgettstown. Originally, I started as a first grade teacher at Eldersville School and then moved to Atlasburg to teach fourth grade. We moved to the current building in 1997 where I taught fourth grade for 19 years. I have been a kindergarten teacher here for the last six years.

I am a graduate of Burgettstown Jr. Sr. High School.  My Bachelor of Science degree is in Elementary Education and also Early Childhood Edcuation and my Master's Degree is in Educational Administrative Programs and Curriculum from California University of Pennsylvania.   As a teacher at BAEC, I have had the opportunity to be involved in many committees, organizations and teams such as: Science Department Chairperson, Cyber School Teacher, Grade Level Representative, Heartwood Representative, Educational Advisory Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, BAEA Vice-President, Mentor Teacher, and PTA Vice-President.
My husband Steve and I are the proud parents of two great kids.  Adam is twelve years old and Eli is eleven years old.   We spent our summer visiting L several Yogi Bear campgrounds around the state.  We like to play in our yard with our dogs Bella and Butters. We also love to go to the drive-in.  I am a huge Harry Potter fan.  I have all of the Harry Potter books in my classroom and would be happy to share them with any parent who wishes to read them to their child.   If there is a need for books in the home, please don't hesitate to ask.  I love to send home books.
I'm looking forward to a great year!
